Colour Shock Long Lasting Eyeshadow: Kiko Makeup [A REVIEW]

Non mi ero resa conto di quanto fosse difficile fotografare una superficie specchiata. Non si smette mai d'imparare. // I never realised how hard it is to photograph a mirrored surface. You never stop learning.

Ho deciso di mostrarvi questo prodotto poichè attualmente è in saldo a 4 euro, fa parte di un'edizione limitata (la Boulevard Rock, che se non erro è quella invernale.. sto dicendo una cavolata?) e perchè è un prodotto che a me piace tantissimo. Ma che l'è, che l'è? Kiko lo descrive come ombretto o eyeliner in crema "dalla texture cremosa e consistenza morbida" che è vero, anzi per me ha una consistenza direi quasi gellosa. Il colore che posseggo è Adrenaline Lime, un verde lime (mavvà) chiaro e brillantissimo. Insomma, nella mia mente lo comparo a Peyote di Neve Cosmetics e Zoe di Nabla, anche se il primo dovrebbe essere un po' più chiaro e il secondo è un duochrome sul verde acqua (bellllissimo, io volere.)

I wanted to show you this product purely because it's on sale right now: it is part of a limited edition (Boulevard Rock, which shoud be the one that came out in january, if I remember correctly.) But there's another reason: i love it. 

What is it, what is it? Kiko describes it as a cream eyeshadow or eyeliner, with a creamy and soft texture. Yep, correct; to me it feels almost like a gel. The colour I own is Adrenaline Lime 105, which is a light lime green (who would have guessed?) really shiny and bright. When i see it my mind connects it with Peyote by Neve Cosmetics and Zoe by Nabla, but I reckon the first one should be lighter and the second one is an acquamarine duochrome (which is stunning, i want that.)

 Tornando a noi. Una volta che si fissa, non si sposta, rimane lì, anche dopo lo struccaggio, insomma ci vuole un po' di olio di gomito per levarlo. Long Lasting, c'è. Tra i vari colori questo è quello che mi ha colpita seduta stante, ho subito immaginato swatchandolo di utilizzarlo come illuminante all'interno dell'occhio. Bello bello, sì. Una sera l'ho utilizzato in questo modo e poi sono andata di eyeliner blu elettrico, l'effetto non mi è sembrato niente male (purtroppo non ho foto da mostrare, chiedo venia.) Lo utilizzo anche da solo sulla palpebra mobile e da un effetto bello fresco, che ci piace. A seconda di come lo si utilizza poi si ottengono diversi effetti: se voglio un effetto strong vado con le dita e lo picchietto con delicatezza, se lo voglio un po' più leggerino prendo un pennello dalle setole sintetiche. 

Coming back to us. Once it sets, it stays there, it doesn't move at all, even after the cleansing routine. Long Lasting: tick. Among the various colours this one stood out to me, I instantly thought of using it as an inner corner highlight whilst swatching it. Gooorgeous. For a night out I used it this way then i went for an electric blue eyeliner, the result didn't seem bad (no photos to show, I beg you pardon.). I use it also on his own on the mobile lid, it gives a fresh effects, which i really do like. Depending on how you apply it you can obtain different results: if i want a strong result, i take a little amount of product with my finger and gently dab on the lid, for a softer look i use a syntethic brush.

 Ecco, una cosa che ho notato un paio di volte è che dopo un po' mi tirava la palpebra, ma sto parlando dei primissimi utilizzi, forse inizialmente applicavo troppo prodotto. Mistero. A qualcuno è capitato ciò? 

Tirando le somme, mi piace? beh, direi proprio di sì. Passando velocemente in uno store Kiko l'altro giorno ho visto fuori solo tre o quattro colori, però sul sito sono disponibili ( e le spedizioni sono gratuite, controllavo prima).

  

i got to say that i've noticed a couple of times that after applying it the lid was pulling a little,but i encountered this problem when i first started using it. Maybe I applied too much product. Who knows. Anyone knows anything about that? All things considered, do I like it? Yep, of course. Do I recommend it? yep. Shipping is free at the moment on the website, FYI.

Adrenaline Lime su base nera (foto scattata con flash)

è da un po' che mi frullava in testa l'idea di utilizzarlo sopra una base nera e... BOOM, effetto pazzesco, non vedo l'ora di ricrearlo sugli occhi alla prima occasione. Sperando di riuscire a fare una foto decente (dita incrociate).

One last thing then i bother you no more: for the sake of experimentation, I tried to layer Adrenaline Lime on top of a black base and.. Boom, amazing result, i cannot wait to use it this way on my eyes ASAP. Let's pray together that I manage to take a good picture.
